Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Launched as World's First Tri-Fold Smartphone in China
Huawei has unveiled the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate as the world’s first tri-foldable smartphone in China. The Chinese giant has been teasing the launch for quite a long time since its prototype showcase.

The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate comes in Black and Red colour options in China. The smartphone giant has priced the device at RMB 19,999 (approx. USD 2,810), RMB 21,999 (approx. USD 3,090), and RMB 23,999 (approx. USD 3,370) for the variants with 16GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations.
Huawei equips the smartphone with a 6.4-inch, 7.9-inch, and 10.2-inch triple-screen flexible OLED display with 2K resolution and LTPO 120Hz refresh rate. The tri-foldable smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9010 SoC fabricated on a 7nm process. The SoC is paired with a Maleoon 910 GPU, and the device runs on HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box.
The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate sports a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with variable aperture support between f/1.4 and f/4.0 and OIS. The primary camera is paired with a 12MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/3.4 aperture, 5.5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
For selfies, the Mate XT Ultimate flaunts an 8MP snapper with an f/2.2 aperture placed on the centred punch hole cutout. The smartphone is backed by a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired, 50W wireless, 7.5W reverse wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging tech. The Chinese giant claims that the device measures 3.6 mm in thickness when fully open.
