iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with A18 Pro SoC Launched

Apple has introduced the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro smartphones at its Glowtime event alongside the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Take a look at the details.

iPhone 16 Pro Series: All You Need to Know

The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at USD 999, USD 1,099, USD 1,299, and USD 1,499 for the 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. On the contrary, the iPhone 16 Pro comes with 256GB of storage for the base variant with a price tag of USD 1,199. The 512GB and 1TB storage configurations are priced at USD 1,399 and USD 1,599. The Cupertino giant has unveiled the device in Dessert Titanium, Natural Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium colour options.

Apple equips the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED ProMotion display with 120Hz refresh rate and Ceramic Shield Protection. The display supports 1,000 nits max brightness, 1,600 nits peak brightness, up to 2000 nits peak outdoor brightness, HDR, and True Tone.

Apple has launched the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with the A18 Pro SoC fabricated on a 4nm process with six-core architecture. The SoC has two performance, four efficiency cores, a five-core GPU, and a 16-core Neutral Engine. The smartphones run iOS 18.0 with software updates up to five years and are built for Apple Intelligence.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max sport a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture, second-gen sensor-shift OIS, 2x telephoto, 48MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and a 12MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Apple uses a 12MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture and TrueDepth functionalities for FaceID facial recognition.

Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max get a new button for camera controls including depth, zoom, exposure, and more. Apple claims that the smartphones will offer a video playback of up to 33 hours and 27 hours, respectively.
