Infinix Zero 40 5G and Infinix Zero 40 4G Announced for Global Markets

Infinix has announced the Infinix Zero 40 5G and Infinix Zero 40 4G smartphones for the global markets. The company equips both smartphones with an identical display, MediaTek SoC, 108MP primary camera, and more.

Infinix debuts the Zero 40 5G and Zero 40 4G with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 144Hz, and 120Hz refresh rates. The display has a peak brightness of 1300 nits, 2160Hz PWM dimming, DCI P3 wide colour gamut, and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Infinix also equips the displays with a centred pinch-hole cutout and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Infinix Zero 40 5G and Zero 4G are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC and MediaTek Helio G100 SoCs, respectively. The Zero 5G is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. In contrast, the Zero 4G comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The Zero 40 series smartphones run on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 out of the box and are eligible for Android updates until Android 16. The triple camera setup on the smartphones includes a 108MP HM6 primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Infinix has included support for GoPro mode, which allows users to use the device as a viewfinder for GoPro cameras.

The centred punch hole cutout houses the 50MP Samsung JN1 snapper on both Infinix Zero 40 5G and Infinix Zero 40 4G. Both smartphones are backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging tech. The Infinix Zero 40 5G also comes with support for 20W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging tech.

Infinix has launched the Zero 40 5G in Misty Aqua, Blossom Glow, and Rock Black colours, which starts at MYR 1,699 (approx. USD 395). In contrast, the Infinix Zero 40 comes in Violet Garden, Moving Titanium, and Rock Black shades with a starting price of MYR 1,200 (USD 275).
